What They’re Saying

Patient Feedback

“Thank you so much for taking such great care of our son. We very rarely find people so understanding and caring towards him. We have had lots of poor experiences and it causes a lot of anxiety for us. We truly couldn’t be more appreciative of how you treated him or us. Thank you.”

– G.P.

“My daughter is autistic and the dentist has always been a particular problem for her. When we both heard the commercial for JD Howard on her favorite radio station a few times she asked if she could try the “sleep dentist”. She knows her teeth hurt but just could not go to the dentist. We had an amazing first visit and this past Friday she had all of her dental problems fixed in 1 visit using their “sleep” approach. The nurse anesthetist was caring and compassionate to her and quickly had her asleep before she could work herself up into a panic. He let her know what was happening step by step and worked fast to calm her down. The dental team did a great job tackling all her dental issues with speed, accuracy and compassion. When she woke up, she was greeted with happy, kind faces. When we got home and she had rested some more she was pleased with herself for doing it and said, ” I really did it, mom!” and ” I think I like my dentist!” and ” I like that place!” That’s all I need to hear to know we have found a place that can truly understand the difficulties anyone can have going to a dentist.”

As an RN in a busy surgical practice, I’ve had experience with children undergoing procedures and receiving anesthesia. As a parent, I was nervous about my son receiving sedation and having dental work done. The surgeons I work with had wonderful things to say about Dwayne and he definitely lived up to his reputation. Dwayne is easy going and professional. As a parent he understands how scary this experience could have been. He was reassuring and clear about expectations. Dwayne provided us with a phone number to call anytime, even later into the evening, and he returned my calls promptly. He was also wonderful with my four year old. He’s calming, personable, and skilled at what he does. Dwayne and Dr Wilson made a nerve-wracking experience into a very positive one.

Thanks again,
Amy

“What a breath of fresh air to have someone in the healthcare industry actually care about you and the service you are getting. Blue Sky Anesthesia Associates treated my 3 year old son, all the while inviting questions from us and answering all of them in detail. I will definitely be requesting their service again!!”

“We had a great experience with Blue Sky Anesthesia Associates and with Dwayne.  He was very professional and was open and welcoming with any questions and concerns that we had.  The whole process from the initial phone call with Dwayne to the actual procedure and post-op was extremely smooth and professional.  It was a great experience! Thank you.”

“I wanted to thank you for the excellent care I received today from you, and the staff at the dental office. I would recommend your company to anyone needing sedation at Eastern Slope Dental. It was a smooth transition, and I feel pretty good. Thanks again!!”

I recently had a dental procedure and Dwayne was my anesthesiologist.   I honestly can’t say enough positive things about him….  He was kind, compassionate, attentive and truly an expert in his field.  He was always available for questions or concerns.  Dental work has always made me fearful and nervous.  But Dwayne’s calm confident demeanor allayed my fears and put me at ease.

I am having another dental procedure in May and Dwayne will once again be my anesthesiologist for which I am beyond grateful.

Thank you so much for easing my dental appointment phobias.  Dr. Boone recommended you and informed me that you were easy to work with and an all-around great person; he couldn’t say enough nice things about you and they all turned out to be true!  Within a very short time after confirming my appointment (which took me two years to work up the nerve to even make), I was contacted and provided what I felt to be very personalized, care-oriented service.  You put me at ease pre-procedure, answered all my questions thoroughly and thoughtfully, and explained exactly what I was to expect out of my appointment with you.  I really appreciate that you didn’t make me feel at all like I was an out-of-the-ordinary (read – big baby!) patient.  From pre-procedure to post-procedure you answered my questions and helped me through a difficult (for me) dental visit.  You are knowledgeable and caring, and I felt like I was your only patient and sole focus whenever I spoke with you.  And most importantly – I didn’t feel a thing!!  THANK YOU!

Most Sincerely,

Bridgid

Great job. A huge shout out to Dr. Sean Drower. He was able to put together a great team with Blue Sky Anesthesiology to help my daughter who has anxiety about dental work. I haven’t room here to express all my appreciation. Just a big thank you to the Drower team and Blue Sky

Thank you

May 2021

How A Sedation Provider Can Help New Hampshire Dentist Office

In last week’s blog, we talked about the significant benefits for dentist to partner with a reliable anesthesia group. Not only can you use it for a powerful marketing tool, your existing patients will be happier, and it will attract new patients. It is well-documented that dental anxiety has a psychological and physiological effect. It can be detrimental to patient’s lives. It has been documented time and time again, most dental patients would rather have sedation for extractions, periodontics, and endodontics, those with severe anxiety, disabilities, or gag reflex even prefer sedation for cleanings, fillings, and cavities. Many dentists feel their options for treatment are [...]

Autism Awareness In NewHampshire: Relief From Dental Anxiety

It can be a challenge for those with disabilities to get the dental care they need. Intravenous (IV) sedation has been shown to help those with disabilities. An article in the Dental Tribune, “Intravenous sedation for patients with disabilities may help treatment results last longer”, “The authors cited research that indicates that patients with disabilities are more likely than the general population to have a higher rate of refilled carious lesions and incomplete endodontic treatment. Both patients with disabilities and clinicians rely on the use of medical sedation to reduce movement and create a safer procedure environment. Although sedation generally requires more medical resources, this [...]
